We love authentic, hand-made drums produced by craftsmen all over the world. Learn what to look for when buying your own. Written with the djembe drum in mind, this guide offers insight into considerations for all types of drums. Read the guide by clicking HERE.

Greg completed a wonderful graduate certificate in Transformative Leadership and Social Change (formerly called Applied Healing Arts) at what was then the Tai Sophia Institute and is now the Maryland University of Integrative Health. Their week-long orientation program shared ideas about how you might look at things differently in order to make life better for you and everyone who encounters you. It was called SOPHIA: the School of Philosophy and Healing in Action. This calendar is formatted as a printable PDF (8.5x14) of daily contemplative practices you might find useful. Greg hangs one in the bathroom for careful consideration during his daily ablutions. Click HERE to download the SOPHIA calendar.

The Book of 31 Things

This project fuses the contemplative practices of the SOPHIA calendar with somatic learning. We want to take this deeper than a cognitive exercise by adding an embodied understanding. Greg enrolled the global community of drum circle facilitators to assist by creating how-to videos illustrating the ideas shared in the calendar and expounded on them with short essays explaining the concepts. COMING SOON.

Music is medicine. Music is mindfulness. During the pandemic, Greg started recording looped music in his backyard studio as a mental health practice. It features a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments including drums and percussion, guitar, vocals, and lots of Native American flute. He added stock footage for eye-candy and there’s even some of his own video, too. Some of it’s quite good (if we do say so ourselves). Check out this YouTube playlist from Greg when you click HERE.
